دعاء لحياوي

Full / Real Name: Douaa Lahyaoui

Douaa Lahyaoui (Arabic: دعاء لحياوي) is a Moroccan singer who emerged on the North African music scene in the early 2010s. Born and raised in Casablanca, she grew up listening to traditional chaâbi and modern pop, which shaped her distinctive vocal style that blends soulful melisma with contemporary production. Her breakthrough came in 2015 with the single “Ya Bent El Hawa”, a track that topped the Moroccan charts and earned heavy rotation on regional radio stations. Since then, Lahyaoui has released two full-length albums, “Qalb Moujoud” (2017) and “Nour El Layl” (2021), featuring collaborations with prominent Moroccan producers such as DJ Khaled (Moroccan) and the legendary composer Abdelwahab Doukkali. Her music often incorporates elements of Gnawa rhythms, Arabic pop, and romantic balladry, appealing to a wide audience across the Maghreb and the Arab diaspora. Douaa has been nominated for the Moroccan Music Awards twice and won the Best Female Vocalist award in 2022 for her hit “Mashi Bhalik”. She continues to perform at major festivals like Mawazine and the Casablanca Jazz Festival, solidifying her status as one of Morocco’s leading contemporary vocalists.
